Pass-A-Grille
Pass-A-Grille was founded in the early 1800 by French fisherman, who referred to it as "griller's pass", a spot used by local fishermen for cooking their catch. Today, the waters still offer abundant fish and wildlife in the form of manatees, porpoises, and a huge variety of sea birds.
Pass-A-Grille boasts one of the most beautiful stretches of white sand beaches in the world. It is a haven for fishermen, boaters, and people who simply enjoy the special charm that this historic community offers. Just spend an afternoon strolling on 8th Avenue, and you'll understand!
Gracing the entrance to historic Pass-A-Grille is the elegant Don CeSar Hotel. Originally opened in 1928, it has been the destination of choice for celebrities, politicians, sports icons, and presidents ever since.
Tierra Verde
Originally called Cabbage Key, the island of Tierra Verde offers a mix of multimillion dollar waterfront estates, and affordable condominium and townhouse complexes. Many Tierra Verde residences enjoy spectacular views of the Sunshine Skyway bridge, as well as Tampa Bay and Boca Ciega Bay.
Located just minutes away from I-275, and offering easy access to St. Petersburg, Tampa, and Sarasota, Tierra Verde combines island living with urban convenience.
Vina Del Mar
In the early 1950's, Vina Del Mar was an uninhabited, mangrove covered diamond in the rough, with the singularly unattractive name of "Mud Island". All that changed with the arrival of the 21st Street Bridge, and a rush of real estate developers that followed.
Today, Vina Del Mar is known for breathtaking views of Boca Ciega Bay, the fact that boaters don't have to cross any bridges to reach the Gulf of Mexico, and for world class fishing. There are no commercial buildings on the island- only single family residences, many of which are waterfront.
The waters around Vina Del Mar are teeming with grouper, snapper, tarpon, snook, seatrout, mackerel, redfish, black drum, flounder, and more. This is truly a sportsman's paradise!
